First time in Waegwan for Church

So yesterday we went to a Church in Waegwan South Korea this Sunday. When we learned about us moving to Korea, Andrew tried to get in contact with some churches here. We thought we would be stationed in Waegwan so he looked for churches around Camp Carroll. One of the churches was Armed Force Baptist Church. Andrew had spoke to the Pastor there and told him we would to come visit his church when we got on here.

The church on base is really nice, but we thought we would give other churches off base a try also.

We drove about 30 minutes to get to Armed Force Baptist Church and it wasn't a bad drive. When the GPS finally told us we where at our destination it took a few seconds before we realized what building it was at. We got the girls out of the car and proceeded to what we thought was the church's front doors. Wrong!..they were locked. When then walked around the corner and try to open the next doors. Wrong again! We then walked all the all way to the end of the building in the back and finally found where we were suppose to go. We traveled up 2 things of stairs and came to the 2nd floor where the church was located. When walked in we were greeted by the Pastor, another older gentleman and a Korean family. We made our introductions and soon after another young American couple made their way in the doors.

Service was to begin soon , so we asked for Mackey and Story to pick out a seat. We didn't know they would choose the second to last pew so we decided to move up to the front. There weren't a lot of us there..maybe 15 to 20 at the most and that was counting the pastor and his wife. We opened up with 3 or 4 songs that I hadn't sang before other than Amazing Grace. The pastor then asked for prayer requests and announcements. He seemed a little all over the place stating that he was going out of order and such but then he made the announcement for the ones that didn't know already(sand the younger couple) that this was his last Sunday at the church and that there will be a interim pastor till they find a new one. This sent a Big light off in my head...Is this why we are here? Are we suppose to be here!? I turned the light on dim and the interim pastor started preaching his message.  It will a little hard to follow him...he was defiantly preaching out of the bible..and he had a slide show to go along..but he was all over the bible..turn to this ..turn to that it was hard for me to focus.

When service was over they invited us down to the fellowship hall to eat some pizza and subs. They eat lunch with each other every Sunday and then after lunch they go back to church for an early "night" service. We got to chatting with the younger couple , Stacey and Felix and really enjoyed talking to them. He is stationed at Camp Carroll but since there are no places for family, so they will live off base. She and I hit off pretty good and had some stuff in common. She seems really passionate about what she believes and it trying to find a church that will teach the Bible.

The pastor and his wife had a new baby ...only 2 months old and the girls just loved feeding him his bottle.
His name is Brandon.

It was really fun meeting everyone..and was sad it would be our first and last day to see the pastor and his family. They had been at this church for the past 2 years.

The girls were going a little crazy and needed a nap bad so we didn't stay for the other service. As we walked out of the building Stacey gave me her phone number so we could get together sometime. When we got in the car I told Andrew about the light bulb I had going off and ask what he was thinking at that moment and he told me it made him think ..but really thought it was strange what the interim pastor preached about..it was related to something Andrew was studying about when he first made his call to preach...the Spirit. I told him that we needed to pray on it more...but boy ..their are too many coincidences going on here for them to be coincidences.

Anywho! We made our way home and came home a take a nap.

When we woke up ..we all got ready and walked all the way around Camp Walker and out gate 4 down to a little restaurant called Italy and Italy

When you sit down..this is your menu
You first mark how hungry you are. The choices were "hungry" "starving" or "very starving". We marked very starving and thought it would be enough to feed the kids also. Then you put what type noodle you want..then your sauce..then that kind of toppings you would like it..

I got the fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp and mushrooms

Andrew got fettuccine with marinara sauce with clams and chicken.

We also order 2 things of garlic bread.
Mackey ate a little of both
Story just ate mine

This place is the bomb and will be a total favorite of mine! It was delicious!

Well..that's all for our Sunday! Hope everyone had a good one also!
God Bless!
