Getting Home Goods

Ok Ok...
So the reason that I haven't been updating my blog is because of this!!

After waiting for 2 1/2 months for our stuff to get in it finally came! When the girls woke up we put them in the CDC so they wouldn't be in the way all day.

Here are the girls with their back packs:

Mackey absolutely loves go to "school" and Story...well..she likes the thought of it..but when she gets there..she starts crying...but..soon after we leave she has a blast. When Andrew went to go get them out..she didn't want to leave.

Andrew went to work that morning but called me and said that his boss told him he could go home when the movers showed up. I was so happy that he could come home..it made it a lot easier!

When I saw the movers pulled up I called Andrew for him to come home.
This is the image I posted on Facebook and said that it doesn't look like it has all our stuff.
Well..it didn't and two more trucks came pulling up.

One of the men handed me a clip board with a  piece of paper with the list of all the boxes. My job was to mark off each number as the boxes came in and tell them where to put them.

There were also a lot of boxes that came in with no numbers...Thank you moving company!

Things started adding up fast..and our house was soon filled with brown boxes.
These guys actually opened everything and placed it on my counters.

Everything was looking good till it came to one of the pictures that I had made back home..it made me very sad when they told me it was broken..
Before
After

After :(
Really close to having all the boxes!

Finally we got everything in..and then it was time to unpack everything. It has been the busiest last few days and I am so tired of seeing everything. Andrew and I thought we'd be so happy to have our stuff here, but we realized that we were so happy with very little before it came. Now we are so unhappy with it being here, we just want to get rid of it all! Luckily they are having a camp yard sale here so we will definitely be putting some of our stuff in it!

More Pictures of the house will come when I get everything in place..That's all that really been going on here! Hope everyone will have an awesome Sunday!

God Bless

My Wonderful Birthday

So what did I do for my Bday?

First off, I cleaned the house ..it needed it very bad since I left it a mess before we left for Busan! As I was cleaning the house..the girls seem to be on their best behavior I've seen since we got here. I started off cleaning  by selecting a room in the house and cleaning it till done..then going on to the next. I know cleaning doesn't sound like a great way to spend your Birthday, but God really blessed me through it. I got to talk to Him and praise Him through song and my thoughts. It went by really fast and I was done by a little past lunch. As the girls were napping I started reading the Bible and got really into it. I started by reading Jude, then made my way to 2 John and then 1 John...I spent the whole time (nap time) in His word where as normally I would have been "shopping" online for something that I don't need..or know I wouldn't in up buying.

Later in the day Andrew came home a little early so Jenna, Kelly, and I could go get our nails done. I was very excited about this cause my poor feet have been totally mistreated for quite a while. We have been walking everywhere also and they needed pampering.

Jenna and I took off to meet Kelly at Camp George because the nail place was right out that gate a little ways down. We pulled up to the gate and gave our IDs to the guard and drove in when I realized that I drove to the wrong Camp. Camp Henry and Camp George are right beside each other but one of the gates is closed on Henry so you have to go all around to the other one on the other side to leave. I felt so dumb..but Jenna didn't seem to care..she thought it was funny.

We finally get to the right camp and try to find a parking place. Kelly texted us and said someone was parking in her guest parking already , so she found us a place to park off post.  We met up with her and started walking to the nail shop.

Took a picture before we went in:

I walk in and it's a pretty small shop. They had no massage pedi chairs like they do at home. Just a little seat thing you sit on and it isn't comfortable at all. One lady started working on Kelly's nails and when the lady in the back got done with her other customer she started on me. They don't have but one pedi place and two nail stations.

Here are my white legs!

Jenna giving the traditional Korean taking a picture sign.

What are they doing to my feet?? Never seen this before! They said it's to soften your dead skin.

Then they wrap it up and wait.

Now ..I'm sure this would have worked great on a normal foot..but my poor puppies are horrible! TMI ..they have cracks on top of cracks of dead skin on them and she didn't soak my feet like they normally do at home which make it easier to remove it all. This lady spent FOREVER trying to remove my callous through scrubbing them. I thought to myself..why didn't she get out one of those razor thingys and go to town..I saw that she had one! She finally decided at some point that what she left me with was the best she could do and told the lady that spoke English that I needed to start using my foot balm..and that I needed to come back for round 2. I thought..I will not be coming back here if you're not going to use the razor and just get in done. I've always had this problem with my feet and the salons back home have never spent this long on them and also have gotten them softer. On top of that...the pedi's at this place where $10 more expensive then back home (not counting tips). Don't get me wrong..I was very happy I got my pedi..but maybe I will be going somewhere different for a pedicure next time.

The massage she gave my legs was awesome!
Kelly's Nails
The lady that does the gel nails that Kelly and Jenna got does an awesome job on them..and I was super jealous of their nails and are going back next week to get some.

Jenna's Nails

After we left the shop went across the street to a Cat Store that Kelly likes window shop every time she walks by. She told us she'd never been inside though..so we took her in to see the kitties.

She was in heaven!

Awwwww

Jenna and I loved this one!!

There were kittens everywhere! The store owner of My Bling Story told us that the lady who runs this store has about 80 something in this one store. WHAt!

We had a good time looking at the kitties..but there is only so much I could take being allergenic to them..so we went on and walked back to the car where we chatted a bit and then went on our way.

Kelly likes to bake and made these wonderful mint chocolate meringues.

The girls loved them..a little too much!

I had a pretty awesome day..thank you all for the wonderful Birthday wishes!
God Bless

March Busan Trip Part3

So here is Part 3 to our weekend trip to Busan!

Where I left off yesterday to got done eating and walked back to the bus stop to get back on the tour. The station we got on at was the first stop..we were trying to decided what we wanted to do..if we wanted to get off at another station and we decided that we would ride it again all the way through and go back to Busan Station and get on the other loop tour to see the west side of Busan. That way..when we come back we would know all the different places to go.

When we got on the bus, it was only a one level and there weren't any more places to sit. The bus driver told us we could stand if we'd like or wait for the next bus. I would totally stand on the bus before I'd wait (while standing) for 30 minutes on the next bus. So we hopped on and grab on to the compartment above our heads. Before the bus took off a Korean man that was beside us told Mackey to sit in his lap. She enjoyed that greatly. Another 2 women let Andrew, Story , and I sit in their seats. Haha..we left Mackey with the Korean man for a bit..it was funny. She came to sit with me shortly after. We were siting all the way in the back which was much fun when we went over a speed bump.

We made it all the way around to the end of that tour and stayed on the same bus for the other tour. This tour was called the Taejongdae Tour. It stops at Yeongdo Bridge, 75 Square, Taejongdae,National Maritime Museum of Korea, Namhang Bridge, Songdo Beach, and Biff Square (where we went the first night).

Story soon fell asleep.

I don't remember a whole lot about this tour, but I know that the first few stops seemed not to be anything great. We did go riding on the side of the huge mountain and got to see the beautiful ocean.

All the fishing boats

It looks closer in the picture..but we were really high up from the ocean
We were closer to the bottom now

That thing in the background to the right that looks upside down is a International Museum I believe

Going over the Namhang Bridge

Fake whale
Andrew asked if Kenny(his uncle that does construction) was in Korea..you can't see it good, but the dude on on a steep hill and his machine was coming off the ground.
The fake whale up close

This is Songdo Beach which is beautiful with a lot of fun things to do.

Side note:vWe believe that Taejongdae (I didn't take any pictures..Mackey was asleep on me) is the place to go on this tour( duh..that's why its probably named that Coby!) everyone wanted to get off at this stop..it looked like an awesome place with lots of stuff to do...we will definitely be going back there.

We got to the last stop and got off at Biff Square again..this place was too big to see in one night so we took a round 2. When we got off the bus...we left behind Story's hello kitty hat :(    and the wind was kicking so I tried to find her one that they didn't want an arm and leg for.

We found a shop that was selling clothes and hats for a dollar (they were pre used I believe) and got those ears a place to hide. After wondering around a bit we stop in at KFC to eat.

I was sitting up against the stores windows and people were walking by watching Story.

I didn't get a picture..but this came with fries..

It was getting darker and colder so we decided to go back down to underground stores and came up on the Lotte department from underground. When we walked in and there was a Krispie Kreme on the right of us and we just had to stop and get a donut. After that, we went to the center of the mall area where they were going to have a light show.

As you can see in the video there was an upstairs to the mall..More like 14 upstairs!! It was huge...each floor looked like it was made for a certain type clothing or household item. Like one floor would be full of workout wear..everything from mountain climbing to golf clothes. Another floor was all women's clothes...one all kids clothing..one all furniture...it was major! I'm not for sure but I think there was a food court on every floor also.

This is a Korean style bed we found...you see that stone..it was hot! A heated bed!
We then decided to go up to the top floor and onto the roof deck. Let's just say my nerves were shaking just thinking how high we were outside and wind was blowing.

You walk outside and go up some more stairs on top of the roof deck..we went over to the side and all that was keeping us from going over was the glass (and a couple of bars haha)...ahhh

Going back down to the bottom of the roof top where there is a little park in the center.
We then went to the other side of the building and went on top of that roof  (this one had an elevator)

View from the other side
That in the background is a coffee shop..yes ..on the roof top of a department store..Korean's are so creative!

We then went down past the coffee shop where they had a petting zoo. YES a petting zoo! A few of the animals were put up for the night but we got to see a good bit of them.

??

Goats
Piggies

Some kind of bird?

Peacock
After we got done with the petting zoo we went back to the elevators and went back to the bottom floor and left the department store. We then walked a good bit toward our hotel and came up to ground level and got a taxi back to the hotel.

In the morning to all got dress and headed back to Daegu. It was a wonderful trip and we had lots of fun..but I was so glad to see Camp Walker and our house. I was needing some normalcy!

I was going to talk about my Birthday in this post..but I will save that for tomorrow!

All to love and God Bless!
